Fundraising for British Heart Foundation
Posted 10th February 2023
Today has been a fun day involving staff getting involved with ‘The Masked Singer’. Staff got dressed up in costumes, sang songs, with students having to guess who was behind the mask! Thank you to Mr West, Mr Pianigiani, Mr Sharp, Mr Sutton, Mr Duba and Miss Webb for being such good sports.
Thanks to the Sixth Form Charity Committee and everyone who supported them in organising this and the tuck shop in the Atrium each break time this week, to raise money for the British Heart Foundation. We will let you know how much has been raised once all the money has been totted up.
Mr Palliser, our amazing Design Technology Teacher, is also aiming to help them raise some funds as he will be attempting to ride Mallorca 312 at the end of April - 312km/194mi, cycling in and around the mountains of Mallorca in Spain. That’s the equivalent of Temple Moor to Dublin and around 12 hours in the saddle!
We know that currently times are tough, but any early donations through the link below would be greatly appreciated by Mr Palliser and the sixth formers – it will be going to a great cause and will certainly help with the motivation for Mr Palliser to roll around the Dales in the rain for the next few months in training.
The Charity Committee are doing fantastic work this year to support various charities. We will keep you updated on what they will be getting up to next half term!
